Here it is, the famous "RL" 1st version of the seminal LED ZEPPELIN II album! I'm sure you know the facts on this one, but here they are just in case:
US 1st pressing, featuring Robert Ludwig's "hot" mastering on both sides. These were withdrawn early because the high bass levels caused low-grade cartridges to mistrack, leading people to return the album on the belief that it was defective. Another engineer was then hired to recut a much less "hot" version of the album, and that is the far more common version. Labels include "MO" suffix (indicating Monarch pressing) and "Mfg By Atlantic Recording Corp., 1841 Broadway, New York, N.Y.".    I'm not a professional grader, but I can tell you what I look for.  Record is in good condition with clean labels.  Record has a lot of light hairlines and scratches on both sides--nothing is deep enough to feel, and I did my best to photograph some of these in the light so you could see. I did not play this record through entirely, but spot-checked it in several points.  Plays with a very light crackle, but nothing that overwhelms the music.  I have a mid-level system, and I would think that a professional cleaning could elevate this disc to a new level.  The cover is intact with no writing, but has some spine wear and edge wear, with very light ring wear on back cover.  The second half of the gatefold has old masking tape across the top.  Includes plain white inner sleeve.  Matrix ##s match up with the Monarch pressing of this classic!
