Description
Supposedly not too many were printed of this weird cover by well known Turkish artist Betul Atli. Quite heavy vinyl on Atlantic AS 8236 and label says "MADE IN TURKEY.MELODI RECORDS.ISTANBUL" with a matrix of STA 691671-S and STA 691672-R
Vinyl is still shiny but does have some light scuffs (no scratches that you can feel) but still grades easily as VG+ visually. I have just listened to both sides and a bit of crackling can be heard in between songs and some quieter moments, like Thank you and Ramble On, so would grade it VG audibly just to be sure (still loved it though). Hopefully it can be seen from the photos that the cover could still be classed as VG- as the creases, light fraying ,minor ringwear on the front and discolouration/ringwear on the back can be forgiven for 45 years old. Few spindle marks on the labels but otherwise clean.
As mentioned in the condition description, I had an enjoyable 45 minutes listening to both sides but there is a bit of crackling going on. Perhaps a professional clean would help sort it as the vinyl looks very good. Was thinking some bits sounded differently mixed but could be wrong because I haven't heard it all the way through in over ten years.
All in all a very generous donation to our oxfam music charity shop which will hopefully go add to a nice collection (for a nice price)price rating
