Cult and hot French pop cum boogie funk item with sexy teenager style disco rap vocals. Comped with crossover appeal to '80s French hip hop - electro - jazz funk - Italo disco collectors. Part 1 is the side with abrupt electronic intro and additional backing singers. Part 2 is a jazzier dub with a more diverse, freestyle performance by Laurie. Cool breaks and beats. Great for DJs! Disc cut loud with big production sound. Another superb example of carefree music that clearly captures a moment in time (just like the sleeve artwork). To our ears, an influence on Frantz - Exhibition Tonight that was released a year later in 1983 (please check our other current auctions for this obscure 7inch :) Arrangements by Régis Dupré who later composed for Charlotte Rampling
Our record grading: SEALED / M- / VG++ / VG+ / VG
RECORD - shiny, strong VG+ with faint hairlines cum faint scuffs from storage (mostly to sideB) / disc cut loud with big production sound / some natural light background noises to fading outros.
SLEEVE - original laminated soft card sleeve is strong VG+ with ring creasing and some other general crease lines from storage (mostly visible on the back sleeve) / some light corner and edge wear in places / item from the archive of an important record label who had offices in Milan, hence the archive number in pen to front sleeve (top left corner area) and 'x' notation before title of part 1 (back sleeve)
LABEL - minimal wear / a few faint old dirt marks from storage
After a 2 year gap, Pourquoi Moi Vintage is back :)

Mp3 created via a Vestax portable with protective slipmat and basic Audacity software but records always sound much better on a proper hi-fi system ;)
