Bach - Christmas Oratorio
(HMV ASD 501-504 UK 4 LP Box Set 1962)
This is a UK original Stereo 4 LP Box Set pressing. The Box has a laminated front panel which has a circular gold "Stereophonic" sticker on the front. It has textured black hard card back board and edges. All 4 records come with a plain polythene lined inner sleeve. These are not the original inner sleeves but appear to be from the early 1980's. It comes with its original libretto/ booklet.
The records are pressed on thick vinyl & has white & gold HMV labels. LP 1 is one sided only. It contains Side 1 only. The other side has HMV logos impressed into the vinyl. This side has a plain black label which states "Do Not Play This Side". Side 2 and 3 are on LP 2; Side 4 and 5 are on LP 3; Side 6 and 7 are on LP 4. It has 1st press 2YRA 1544--2, 2YRA 1545-2, 2YRA 1546-2, 2YRA 1547-3, 2YRA 1548-2, 2YRA 1549-1 and 2YRA 1550-2 matrix stampers.
Box: There is a small 1 cm seam split at the top & bottom corner of the box opening. This is on the front part of the box only. There are 4 small bits or rubbing wear to the side edge of the front opening. There is some mild rubbing wear in a few other places. VG condition
Vinyl 1: Just some light or very light sleeve rubs which can be seen under a strong light. EX condition. The labels are in near perfect condition & show next to no spindle wear. This LP is one sided only. I have fully play tested this LP. It plays Near Excellent to Excellent overall. There is some light crackle in a few quieter places.

I have fully play tested this LP. It plays Very Near Excellent to Excellent overall. There is some light crackle in a few quieter places.
The libretto/ Booklet is totally complete & in Very Near Ex condition. There is only light or minor creasing. There are no tears or loose pages. All the polythene-lined inner sleeves are in EX to EX+ condition.
