Lable:EMI Custom private pressing Cat# YPRX-1218. Record is visually Ex+ with barlely a mark on it. Cover is VG-. There is some light edge and general wear. There is some ring wear noticeable around the edges, particularly the bottom edge. There are a few dirty patches/stains both back and front on the predominenlty white cover. Ther are mostly feint (similar to sticker residue marks) except for one small dark brown dirty spot on the middle front LH edge. There are a couple of small sticker residue marks on the front top RH cnr. There is a light crease on the front top RH cnr. (see scans)

Formed in 1970, Kindekrist was Australia's first Christian rock band. The band brought together musicians from different musical styles - folk, country-rock, classical, pop and rock - and theological traditions (Lutheran, Presbyterian and Methodist). The band's name derived from the German for "Children of Christ", reflecting the Lutheran roots of the lead singer.

Kindekrist's music reflected both a concern for issues of social justice as well as expressing more spiritual and religious themes. In this, it paralleled the themes of the contemporary US Jesus Movement, which itself spawned the development of Jesus Music that later evolved into Contemporary Christian Music. Two of the band's members, Robin Mann and John Pryzibilla, were arrested during Australian protests against the Vietnam War, while the band's first drummer, Rev Rod Jepsen, was a leader of the Anti-Apartheid campaign against the 1971 Springbok Rugby Tour of Australia.

With membership changing over the two decades of the band's life, the core performer and composer was Robin Mann. Many of his songs were subsequently included in congregational hymn collections in Australia, the UK, US and elsewhere.

Cutting edge Australian Jesus rock obscurity released on a custom branch of EMI records. Nice earthy homemade arrangements that don’t sound particularly Australian (not that I’d know what that is if I heard it) – more like the best of the US and UK homegrown hippie-angled endeavors. The five semi-longhaired guys and one girl of Kindekrist alternate male and female lead vocals while encompassing a variety of styles. The raw harmonica-wailing ‘Father’s Blues’ and the slow acoustic ‘Father Of The Evening’ both fit into the blues rock category. The minor-key Celtic-sounding ‘All At Sea’ and the a cappella madrigal ‘Come All You Good People’ each have a very distinctive British flavor more akin to groups like Parchment. While acoustic instrumentation is usually favored over electric, there also happens to be some good wah-wah guitar coupled with organ and harpsichord on the psych-edged ‘Follow’ and ‘Watch Out For The Wolf’ (the latter of which features some fun howwwwwwwling vocals). Filling in the remainder of the fourteen songs are some effective samplings of folkrock, soft rock, ragtime and acoustic ballads. Excellent! (Ken Scott - Archivist)

M, mint condition, unplayed, with no marks on playing surface and labels as new.
M-, mint minus, either unplayed, with minimum scuffs caused by paper sleeve, or played once or twice only and still as new.
EX, excellent condition, record played carefully, very clean surface, minimum scuffing. 
VG, very good condition, scuffing or signs of groove wear but no bad scratches. Only minor pops or crackles.
G, good condition, well played with plenty of scuffs, light scratches and groove wear.Noise evident but no jumps.
F, fair condition, playable but heavily scuffed or scratched, with a lot of surface noise. Maybe minor jumps from scratches.

M, Mint - As New
Ex, Excellent – Very little ware – no marks or worn corners
VG, Very Good  – some minor wear and some minor marks visible 
G, Good – worn cover, may have creased corners, heavier marks, small tears but still complete
F, Fair – cover is worn and maybe torn.
