A rare chance to purchase one of the rerest early Tamla Motown singles in the 500 series.TMG 511 Demo Kim Weston Im Still Loving You/Just Loving You.This is the white copy with the letter A for advance stamped in red on the a side.It also has the date of 15th April 1965 stamped on the front. .I do not think that I have ever seen another Demonstration record copy of this single and while the standard UKsingle is very rare this must be one of the rarest of all the 500 series singles.I placed a small red dot on the front cover in the 1960's in order to show ownership as in those days records used to dissapear at parties etc. It is a self adhesive dot and it should be quite easy to take it off with care.The is an initial under the dot and I dont remember where it came from ,it may well have been there when I purchased it all those years ago. Apart from that the label is very good and the rear label is perfectly free from blemishes. The record has quite a lot of surface scratches as it has been well played overthe years. This doesnt effect the sound quality too much especially on the A side, on Just Loving You which is a slow ballad with sparse instrumentation the crackling is more prominant but I think that these records had some inbuilt crackle from new. If the sound was absolutly perfect I think that this record woud be selling for over $1000 on some well known web sites.The record is in its original Tamla Motown sleeve. I still play this and enjoy it and prefer the mono to the stereo take on Im still loving you. This track must be one of the classics of Motown as is Kim Weston. I have put a conservative and reasonable reserve on this single and if there isnt the interest at my price (which I have adjusted to take into account the condition) which is remarkably good for its age but in no way mint.Then I will be happy to keep it for a few more years. I have recently seen the standard non demo single being sold on a well known web site for over $600 and I havent seen any other TMG 511's for quite a long time.I dont think that I have ever seen a demo copy for sale. I purchased this in 1965 The pictures when they left me were perfect but sometimes they seem to lose focus in transmission to e-bay so if that it the case then I can assure you that the labels are on both sides in pretty good state almost unbelievable when considering this single is 41 years old.
