Description
John Coltrane - Stellar Regions, a 1995 limited edition release on the Impulse 4 pillar label, no. IMP-169.
This is a 200g heavyweight vinyl pressing, mastered by Wally Traugott at Capitol, and is the only release on vinyl of this late Coltrane free jazz recording from 1967
The vinyl has been Degritter cleaned and is spotlessly clean with a couple of very faint hairlines on Side One. Side Two has no real marks. Clean labels with a few spindle trails visible. Graded EX.
Playback reveals a clean and vibrant detailed sound, beautifully mastered, tight and balanced with "in the room" presence. The vinyl plays through with no issues, no jumping or sticking, and a low noise floor.
The gatefold outer sleeve is crisp and smooth overall, some corner rubbing and creasing, and the beginning of light feathering to the opening, but no writing, splits, stains, tape or tears.
A rare copy in excellent condition to own, play and enjoy.
