Description
Fontana TL 5448 / 687 969 TL MONO 1967 : a great psychedelic period piece that stands the artistic test of time with flying colours- visually, musically, lyrically and sonically. The cover art is magnificent in its orange hue and silky, streaky psychedelic backdrop, the band clothed in paisley, scarves, rings and beads. The liner notes on the back by Peter Daltrey are of the same ilk in which the typography has the words form the shape of a fruit : pear? - tangerine?
The flipback non- laminated cover is in EX+ condition with only the slightest bit of corner wear. On the right front vertical side there are two tiny horizontal tears, which are noticeable after close scrutiny - one is 10mm and the other 5mm. The back is in great condition, with some finger smudging at the vertical edges, where the record was held. At the bottom there is a bit of curling back or peeling of the flipback (appr. 1mm) for about 2/3 of its length but there is no real letting loose. The label on Side 1 has a small (removable) sticker with the letters : MAC.
The vinyl is NEAR MINT and it plays ABSOLUTELY MINT with no surface noise whatsoever ! Sound quality and dynamics of the recording are veritable ear candy ! This is the copy you want to have, without a doubt and in this nick, where and when will you find it again? No reserve. The best of luck.

I tape my records in plastic, so as to provide protection from possible damage from moisture and pack them in heavy duty custom made boxes for optimal safety.
