I was fortunate enough to recently receive hundreds of unsold KISS albums in boxes that had sat in Polygram Records' warehouse and i will be listing them a few at a time. most of these LPs are beautiful...some are error copies. some are in amazing shape, and some are in good shape. i will indicate the condition of each LP. one of the great things about these LPs is that a lot of them never made it into the stores, so theres no price tags or shelf wear. when it comes to American KISS releases and pressings, i am an expert so feel free to ask anything. bidders with less than 20 feedback please contact me first, otherwise your bids will be cancelled because of previous bad experiences.
KISS "The Originals" NBLP 7032-3 WHITE LABEL PROMO SEALED!!!! 1st press!!!!...I'll be honest and admit that like some KISS fans, I'm not to fond of this release...its purpose or its packaging. When Kiss started hitting it big consistently with studio albums reaching multi-platinum status on each one, it was deemed necessary to re-issue the first 3 mildly successful studio albums so that they too could finally reach gold status. the result was a rushed product with packaging problems and cheap premiums. 3 LPs, a mini-book, some trading cards, and a KISS army sticker...all packaged tightly together in a very flimsy jacket that was prone to wear before it even hit the store. i dont think that there is such a thing as a MINT "originals", but if there is it certainly isnt the copies made in the USA. Canada and Japan received FAR superior packages, that were much sturdier and worth every penny.
I am willing to bet that this is the finest sealed copy of "The Originals" in existence; add to that the fact that this is a hugely sought after white label promo copy (as indicated by the tiny cut corner on all WL promos) and what you've got is a seriously rare and valuable gem of KISS vinyl, essentially the holy grail. for the first time ever i have set a reserve price because i am reluctant myself to let this one go.
