KIPPINGTON LODGE In My Life b/w I Can See Her Face (Parlophone R 5776) RARE UK 1st Pressing MINT-
RARE original UK first pressing of the Kippington Lodge single "In My Life" b/w "I Can See Her Face", released on Parlophone Records (April 1969).
Before he taught us that it was cruel to be kind, and even before he first wondered “what’s so funny ‘bout peace, love and understanding”, Nick Lowe was one fourth of the groovy lite psych-pop outfit by the name of Kippington Lodge. The group, however, was short-lived, and morphed into pub-rock pioneers Brinsley Schwarz, those most intrepid of folk/country/rockabilly revivalists. This, the fifth Kippington Lodge single features a "heavified" version of The Beatles "In My Life" on the A-Side, as well as Nick Lowe`s very first vocal outing, the self-penned and charmingly edgy “I Can See Her Face” on the B-Side.
GRADING:
EX+ SLEEVE with minor storage wear. Please see photos for details.
- Original custom-printed Parlophone Records sleeve.
- Undamaged sleeve with light storage ring and minimal creasing to opening edge.
MINT- RECORD in near-perfect condition.
- Played once or twice at most, the A-Side looks absolutely pristine.
- Under strong lighting, the B-Side has a superficial thumbnail scuff (not a scratch!). The scuff is inaudible.
- Other than that, no hairlines, scuffs or other visible wear at all.
- No center piece.
