MUNGO JERRY spin-off band featuring Paul King and Roger Earl (hence the King Early Boogie Band moniker) together with vocalist Dave Lambert who would later go on to join the Strawbs. Musically the sound is very much crafted from the same vibe as Mungo Jerry - serious boogie woogie atop some great songs in that way only British musicians can muster. There's also a fine and serious progressive rock element woven into the tracks - some lovely rural vibes aka Heron, Fresh Maggots, Ro Ro and Parlour Band.

This auction is part of a fantastic collection of seventies rock which I was lucky enough to acquire. Most of these records were stored with the utmost care and sparsely played. Some were possibly never played or may have been for just a handful of times.
Pressing: Dawn, UK, 1972
Vinyl: Used but not abused. One visible spindle mark and only the faintest signs of use - a few non audible surface scuffs and pressing blemishes. Spot playback revealed the occasional pop/static but nothing horrendous. Grades as Ex
Cover: Only minor signs of use. Issued in a beautifully designed fully textured cover. Sharp corners, no dings, no bends, no ring wear, no split seams and no creases. Spine is stiff, square and totally uncrushed with original pinches top and bottom. Just a hint of a slight wavy feel to the opening edge of the cover. Impossible to find like this after 46 years. Grades as Ex+
