Title: Lizard.

A well preserved copy of this King Crimson masterpiece. The sleeve grades only a sniff below Ex/Nr Mint becaus of slight laminate lifting to one corner and some barely visible lateral wrinkles to the laminate. The vinyl looks pristine with some minor noise on the intro to both sides one and two - from what I remember this was very common with even brand new copies, as the extremes of dynamic rangeof this recording, from very very soft passages to very loud sections, push the limitations of the vinyl format to its limits. This said, I have the DVD-A high resolution surround mix and in comparison the vinyl is less clinical and packs much more punch. It really is a nice copy, that I believe you will be very pleased to own.

The EJ Day front and back laminated gatefold sleeve is in excellent condition.

Front
Excellent. Some barely visible very minor lateral wrinkles to part of the laminate near the spine. I have just about been able to photograph this - so check photos.

Back
Excellent - just a small amount of laminate lifting towards the top right corner.

Opening Edge:
Excellent -  no signs of wear.

Gatefold:

Nr Excellent a couple of very light stress creases

Edges:
Top: Excellent/Nr Mint
Bottom: Very good plus - there is 4 cms where the edge is rubbed toward the opening edge. In normal use this isn't noticable as you have to hold the sleeve edge on to see it.

Comments: An excellent sleeve that defies its vintage. Not quite mint, but not too far off.

Record:

The disc is not warped in any way. The disc still retains its original new sheen and looks barely played. There are no noticable scuffs, scratched or marks - not even the odd finger mark. The sound reflects the barely played look, offering a great detailed analogue experience with only a little noise on the very quiet intro to both sides

How I pack:

I use top quality cruciform (pizza box style) mailers along with sheets of highest quality card stiffeners. The disc will be removed from the sleeve and if the inner sleeve is non-generic, I will put the LP in a new generic sleeve to avoid damaging the original. It was 1960: I was eight. My cousin joined the Air Force and gave me his collection of 45’s: a great selection including Elvis and Buddy Holly. Usurping the family Dansette, I became well and truly hooked. By 1964/5 I was also seeing some of my favourite artist live. At the age of 11 I joined by first band playing music on and off over the subsequent years that also gave me experience of working in recording studios. Music is in my blood.
