Stunning playing/sounding EX+ vinyl & EX E.J.Day matt gatefold cover.
This is a superb original UK PINK ISLAND pressing with the thick chunky vinyl in very clean EX+ condition and the original E.J.Day matt gatefold sleeve is in EX condition. Both sides of the vinyl look near new and all tracks play excellently with a nice clean and clear sound quality throughout with barely any hiss/crackle at all. The winning bidder will definitely not be disappointed with this excellent original uk pink island pressing of King Crimson's brilliant 1969 progressive rock debut.
This original 1st press 'King Crimson' album has just been professionally cleaned on a Moth MK.11 vacuum record cleaning machine. The vinyl comes in a brand new poly-lined inner sleeve with sticker attached with cleaning service details, the original Polydor poly-lined inner will also be included and shipped to the winning bidder.
ORIGINAL THICK 1st PRESS VINYL = EX+
Both sides of the original thick pressed vinyl are in EX+ very clean condition, there are no nasty surface marks or scratches and both sides still have a very nice glossy deep sheen, on closer inspection you will find just a few ultra-fine hairlines and a few very feint wispy lines that do not effect play. All tracks play through really excellent with minimal amounts of light crackle and just a few light tics, this album has only ever been played on a good quality deck so the sound quality is still really superb. A brilliant original Pink Island first pressing that looks and plays near new and will not disappoint.
E.J.DAY MATT GATEFOLD SLEEVE = EX
The original thick card E.J.Day matt gatefold sleeve is in excellent condition, there are narrow slithers of storage wear to the top and bottom edges and also along the spine. The front and back has some light traces of storage wear but this is not serious. This is just a very nice original E.J.Day matt gatefold cover that has no bad faults. The original poly-lined inner sleeve is in excellent clean condition with minimal signs of ageing and discolouration.
PINK ISLAND LABELS = NEAR MINT
Both PINK ISLAND labels are in superb near new condition. When tilted toward the light there are just a few short light spindle traces visible on each side, these light traces are only due to very careful play. These labels are near perfect.
