Very Rare original US LP released on Tower Records in 1967. 1st US Mono pressing.
In the mid-60s, Fowley plunged headlong into the hippie counterculture of Los Angeles, allying Frank Zappa and the Mothers of Invention band and later appearing in the acclaimed album Freak Out !. Prolific as a composer, Fowley provided material for the Byrds to the Beach Boys to the Soft Machine and Them, and produced artists such as Gene Vincent, Warren Zevon and Helen Reddy. Fianlmente in 1967, Fowley released his debut solo album, Love Is Alive And Well, a record that shows that he was aligned with the Flower Power movement of the time.
Well most notorious as a producer, cultural activist and talent discoverer than as a singer, Fowley did not leave because of that, their phonographic records fall below average. Your LPs sessentistas the Imperial label are fine examples of psychedelic atmosphere that gripped the Sunset Strip at the time. His phonographic records of this period are full of travelers Freaks keyboards and guitar effects. In the following decade, his music has lost much of that hue and he was quick to follow the trends in vogue. As a producer, customarily with considerable help from Michael Lloyd, Kim Fowley always had an interesting - albeit weighed by hand from time to time - garageiro-psychedelic verve and heavy rock during the 60s and 70s.
