Description

(Note:  If you win multiple items in a week’s listings, please wait for the end of all of the auctions for me to invoice you, so that you can take advantage of my combined shipping offer.  Thanks!)

For sale this week and likely next are some harder-to-find PROMO PSYCH and Classic Rock 45’s.

Most of these will feature their MONO mix counterparts that were never to this day issued to the public!  And most if not all have still never been available in any other format in MONO.  These are always a good investment, and a fun niche in collecting.

Be sure to look at the others for sale!

I can’t test-play vinyl at the minute, so with that said…

Jukebox 1962 E.P. Just Jimmy Reed Vee Jay w/Cover and Seeburg Strips, EX!

If you’re unfamiliar with the influence that Jimmy Reed played on the British Invasion and American rock and roll, head over to YouTube, choose any track from this E.P. (or L.P. for that matter), and have a listen.

Undeniably, you can hear these influences:

**The Beatles’ early stuff, like the tracks on “Live at the BBC” and their later jams during the “Get Back” sessions, when they were returning to their roots

**Early Stones

**Early Eric Clapton

**The Yardbirds

**and Bob Dylan all over it!

The whole album is this good.  But this auction is for the extremely rare STEREO jukebox E.P., complete with all 5 Seeburg brand jukebox strips!

Vinyl: EX/EX.  These things don’t show up for sale often to say the least, but when they do, they’re usually no better than VG.  This copy is gorgeous!

Labels: EX/EX.  Just a hint of wear around the edges in the colorband and some very light foxing.  NO SPINDLE MARKS!

Second track on Side 1 is mistakenly listed as “I’ll Change That Too.”  Album lists it as “I’ll Change My Style.”

Hardcover:  VG+.  Structurally solid.  All seams and spine muscular-strong, NO SPLITS.

Back cover is blank.  Has some dirtwear, and a small area at the top right, where there is some missing slick.  Looks like a sticker removal wound, done by someone who wasn’t me.

Top and bottom seams have light shelfwear, not bad.

**This is the rarer cover with the black interior, rather than the bare cardboard.  Too hard to photograph. **

Jukebox Strips: EX.  Most copies offered for sale are usually either missing the strips, or they will only have one or two present.  This copy has all five strips, four strips still attached!

A generic white sleeve will be provided to protect your company sleeve during shipping.

You’re not going to see another one of these for a very long time, and when you do, it’s certainly not going to be in this condition.

As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up.  Thanks!)

Note:  All 45’s ship outside of their sleeves in order not to damage the sleeve during shipment. Generic plain, white sleeves and Mylar provided.

Please don’t bid unless you’re willing to honor your amount, okay? Thanks!

(Please note:  Regarding play-testing, my Technics turntable has somehow seized.  The tone arm is stuck in the up position, and I can’t get it to fully return to its cradle.  Is there anyone out there, who can tell me if this is an easy fix?  Thanks!)

Check out my other auctions for more hard-to-find vinyl!

Shipping is $5.38 for Media Mail for up to 3 single or double albums, excluding boxed sets within the U.S.  $5.38 covers shipping for up to 5 singles within the U.S., and within the same auction week.

Winners in all other countries will be charged actual shipping to their locations, so please wait to be invoiced.  You will be quoted for the cheapest shipping to your country that the US post office can afford me.  Please let me know if you would prefer to pay for a faster means of shipping, but do NOT ask me to declare packages as gifts, or any other means of defrauding the postal services.  Much appreciated.

I ship on Mondays and Thursdays.  This means that immediate payments will be shipped out the following morning, and later payments must wait until the first available Monday or Thursday after payment is received.  Please pay within 7 days of the auction ending.  I do leave negative feedback for non-payers.

Money back guarantee if you're not happy with your purchase.
