Description

I am a vinyl addict and have been buying classic albums for nearly sixty years. During that time I have constantly purchased new versions of my original albums. On this basis I am now selling some of my cherished, original copies, including this iconic album by Joy Division to make more room in my record cabinets. My descriptions try to convey as much information as possible to ensure any prospective buyer has all relevant information.


This is a great opportunity to purchase a very rare copy of Unknown Pleasures that I purchased on release in 1979. It has the canvas cover and original inner sleeve

Inside - EX, no scratches, pops or clicks. Very little surface noise

Outside - VG+ to EX, no scratches, pops or clicks. Slightly more surface noise on quiet passages on tracks 4 and 5 (very minor and non intrusive) and no distortion. Overall, the sound quality is excellent for such a classic album. Great dynamics throughout with the unique production by Martin Hannett.


As a massive Joy Division fan I have replaced this album and Closer with later versions. The outer sleeve has been preserved as much as possible as textured material is untreated and I have graded it as VG+ on this basis. Natural wear on the spine due to the fragility of the cover. The inner sleeve is fully intact and I have replaced it with a new inner sleeve to look after the vinyl. Very little spindle wear an a completely flat disc.


Please see the attached photos for validation of the description. All of my albums being sold were bought by me in the 1960s, 70s and 80s.


All of my albums are shipped correctly and safely by separating the disc from the outer sleeve.


This is a rare pressing and is much sought after by collectors and enthusiasts.
