Ladies, Gentlemen, fellow record nerds, I am pleased to bring to you not just one but two, extremely rare John Surman "Mono" LP's on the Deram label (please see my addition auctions for the other Jon Surman LP)
Not only is this the Original 1st UK press in NM condition but its the extremely, extremely rare "Mono" version. Not only have I never seen or owned one but I can't actually find another for sale on-line making this a true collectors gem. This record increases in value every year.
I don't need to explain that Mono recordings are far rarer to find than their Stereo counterparts and in my opinion, Mono recordings provide a far better and louder recording providing far more of a punch in the sound!
I've listened to the LP from track 1 through to track 7 and I could not hear one audio anomaly, loud pop, surface noise or anything that would ruin or distract you from the listening experience. Please bid with confidence that this is a true NM, UK 1st press, MONO version of this great LP. Even under bright natural light i couldn't see any signs of use.
Grading
Side 1: NM
The vinyl is in NM condition with no scratches, scuffs, marks, rolling lifts, jumps, hiss, surface noise or loops. There is a beautiful shine to the vinyl and while reflecting it in the light, I found it hard to spot just one imperfection. A true NM vinyl. Sits perfectly flat on turntable.
SIDE 2: NM
The same as side 1. NM
LABELS: NM
Almost no signs of use at all. No writing or spindle marks. No stains or rips. NM
SLEEVE: EX - NM
The sleeve is in EX condition, close to NM with just very slight storage wear along edges, no rips or anything like that, just signs of careful use/storage. There are NO rips, NO writing, NO brown spots or stains, NO de-lamination to the laminated front cover, the spine and all seams are straight and still completely sealed, no dry glue or peeling corners. The front cover is super crisp with literally no creases to the cover/laminate. The back is also super clean, crisp and in EX+ condition. Hard to find a fault on this LP whether it be on the vinyl or the sleeve.
