A must have for every serious vinyl collection.Beautifully laminated front. EXCELLENT - !! Corners sharp. NO edgewear . Opening edge has two visible small tears only. Not that noticeable. Otherwise an ultra clean first issue single sleeve in beautiful condition.
Inner sleeve
Excellent ! Slight discoloration.
Vinyl
Some hairlines/surface . Excellent- visual with highly polished surfaces.
Labels
Excellent open decca format with only a light spindle trace. Very slight spindle wear . Text shiny and unfaded, fresh and ultra clean appearance. Real beauties!
Audio
Sensational. Exceptionally clear channels-just three/four light ticks at start of side one during a frenzied blues Ballad and do little to affect the musical presentation. Apart from that, the audio channels are exceptionally clear with NO distortion and a minimum of crackle. Some surface between tracks but make no mistake, this is a remarkable audio for a vintage pressing such as this. Beautiful tones delivered with a warm punch and a sharp definition that only these rare mono recordings can deliver. Many suffered with a heavy duty playing history resulting in massive groove wear and surface damage. This one has escaped owing to a very careful owner, delicately handled and lightly played.
This record goes down as one of the most historic and greatest R&B classics of all time. Eric Clapton is actually heard for the first time on disc…. and what an intro…..
The quality of this album is superb and must not be missed. Probably the best album that Mayall/Clapton had ever put together.
Will be hard pressed to find a better example of this R&B classic. Awesome R&B infusion, becoming an extremely hard record to locate in this condition.
