Here’s a 1970s German reissue of the White Album, Apple Records # 1C 192-04 173/174.

The coolest part of this piece is that it’s a top loader. It’s a glossy cover with “The Beatles” embossed as is typical. But note in the pictures that the sequential number (No. 406211) is stamped into the cover rather than printed, so it’s a little less visible.

According to Discogs, the text on the gold sticker - "Deutscher Schallplattenpreis / gestiftet vom fono forum" - translates to “German Record Award / endowed by fono forum” (a monthly magazine for classical and jazz music).

Visually, all four sides of the vinyl are in beautiful Near Mint condition.

The cover has also retained its beauty - glossy and still white, with no stains or seam splits. As you can see in the pictures, the only visible flaws are the small “dings”on the bottom corners. But because of the thin cardboard construction, there are a few minor creases and scratches that are only visible when bright light is shining directly on it. And because of that, I’m grading the cover as a strong Excellent (EX) - it’s still a beautiful piece.

The poster still looks like new, although it’s not as glossy as the US issues.

But note that it does NOT include the four color pictures - they were missing when I bought this piece years ago.
