JOHN & YOKO - 'WEDDING ALBUM'
'Wedding Album' was the final in a succession of three experimental albums by John Lennon and Yoko Ono. Released in 1969, it consisted of two tracks: side 1 "John & Yoko" - a recording of Lennon and Ono calling to each other, through a range of emotions, over the sound of their heartbeats. Side 2: "Amsterdam", the second side, consists of interviews, conversations, and captured sounds during the couple's famous "Bed-In" honeymoon, after being married on 20 March of that year.
The set was presented inside an elaborate, but extremely fragile box set designed by John Kosh, who also designed the 'Let It Be' box.
This 100% complete set comprises the following all original components:
- Two 2-sided posters: 'The Wedding' - showing photos from the wedding ceremony & another featuring drawings by John & Yoko
- 'The Press': an 18-page stapled booklet containing contemporary cuttings about John & Yoko from around the world.
- A picture of a piece of wedding cake
- 'Bagism' white vinyl bag
- A 'bed-in' postcard
- Photo-strip
- 'Wedding Album' UK LP (SAPCOR 11)

Housed in an outer-laminated 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed gatefold cover.
All above items are contained within a box which has a U.S.A. manufactured lid.
CONDITION
Inserts: MINT
All of the paper are in 'as new' condition. There is slight rippling on the 'Bagism' vinyl bag which is an unavoidable consequence of age.
Disc: NEAR MINT
The disc appears unplayed and bears no spindle trails around either centre hole.
Cover: EXCELLENT -
Strong & clean with some laminate lift on the front panel and a bump to the upper left corner. Inside the gatefold clean & unblemished and both ends of the delicate hinge are fully intact. There is a 3cm stress to the upper seam of the rear pocket but the spine is unworn & fully worded.
The Box
Lid: EXCELLENT
The box is fully intact with no spits to any corner. The lid is clean with a faint line towards the left edge but otherwise it is very clean & bright. There is some discolouration to the spine and upper edge but the lower and left spines are clean & unblemished.
Lower Tray: MINT
This is in perfect condition.
