Platinum SHM-CD is the ultimate compact disc utilizing the platinum in place of the aluminum to form the reflective coating in addition to the proven SHM-CD technology. Platinum SHM-CD is fully compatible with standard CD players. However, it will not play on CD players that are not compatible with CD-R (Compact Disc-Recordable) discs.

Double Fantasy è un album del 1980 pubblicato da John Lennon e Yoko Ono. È il settimo ed ultimo album in studio pubblicato da Lennon durante la sua vita. Double Fantasy is a 1980 album released by John Lennon and Yoko Ono. It is the seventh and final studio album released by Lennon during his lifetime. NB : I CD mini-LP Giapponesi sono versioni ufficiali audiophile - prodotti in Giappone su licenza dei detentori del copyright - che suona su tutti i lettori CD. I CD made in Japan utilizzano a seconda delle versioni un superbo mastering  ( 20bit K2, K2 24bit, DSD, K2HD, HQCD, SHM, o HDCD ) e tecnologicamente avanzate strutture di produzione atte ad ottenere un risultato sonoro il più possibile vicino alla realtà. La confezione cartonata giapponese di questi classici album in miniatura rasenta lo stato dell'arte. Questi mini-LP si prefiggono ad essere delle miniaturizzazioni precise della prima stampa del ' LP a 12 ". Solitamente è incluso tutto quello che era presente nell'LP   originale , come gatefolds, libretti, fogli lirica, manifesti, maniche CD stampati, adesivi, rilievi, carta , inchiostri e tagli speciali. Queste includono informazioni importanti, come data di rilascio, numero di catalogo, e mastering. OBIS edizioni limitate e  promozionali a volte vengono aggiunte dal distributore. In queste occasione il CD mini-LP avrà la presenza di bonus tracks inclusi che non erano presenti nella versione originale. Altra particolarità, tutte le note inerenti alle tracce bonus non vengono aggiunte sulla copertina dell'album , sono solo presenti sulla fascetta OBI laterale o sul foglietto dedicato alle note di dettaglio , mantenendo in questo modo l'integrità delle opere d'arte originali stampate in LP. L'inclusione del famoso ' obi-strip ' non solo aggiunge un aspetto intrigante unico , ma è anche un ottimo strumento di marketing per le etichette giapponesi .Il termine ' obi-strip ' deriva dal nome della larghezza del pezzo di tessuto - l'obi - che una donna geisha indossa intorno alla sua vita nel tradizionale abito kimono .
