Artist: JOHN LEE HOOKER

Promo: No
Vinyl Grade: Play and visually graded NEAR MINT. The album has full gloss with no scuffs or scratches. The songs played through sharp and crisp without skipping. Labels are NEAR MINT.
Cover Grade: Visually graded VERY GOOD ++. The cover has full luster with only very light corner and seam wear caused by storage. There is very faint and partial ring wear on the front. Attractive cover with good color. No splits or tears. Please look at the photos carefully.
Record Sleeve: original generic white fully intact.
NOTES: The front cover is printed Verve Folkways. The back and labels are printed Verve Forecast. Side 1 and Side 2 are etched in the runout. Matrix is MGS 248 and MGS 249.
Other notes: This was also released in mono with the stereo being the rarer of the two. I have never seen another copy.

A word on PROMOTIONAL COPIES: LP promotional copies in most cases came from FIRST PRESSINGS and usually pulled from the front of the press run. First pressings, which come as close to the original master disc as possible, matter to audiophiles. Also, cover drills (holes), corner cuts, cover notches (saw cuts) and gold promo stamps were a common way for the record labels to mark and identify non-returnable promo copies given to retail stores (I was a retailer for 40 years). They may not look the best but it may be the best vinyl you can find.
