Description
Up for bid is a rare mono LP, "The John Coltrane Quartet Plays Chim Chim Cheree, Song of Praise, Nature, Brazilia." See pictures for song list. This was released by Impulse (A-85) in 1965. LP is VG+ with light scuffs on either side. This LP looks and sounds great - plays with light surface noise (some intermittent crackle and tics) but no skips. Surface noise may be greatly reduced with a professional clean. Interior labels are very clean. LP is very clean and retains a nice gloss. "Van Gelder" is stamped in the matrix on either side. Includes original interior paper sleeve (Interior sleeve has creases in all corners - see pictures). Thick cardboard gatefold jacket is VG+, with a small seam split in the center of the top seam of the back portion of the gatefold, about 3 inches long. There is wear on all corners. There is a small spot of wear on the bottom seam of the back portion of the gatefold near the mouth (see pictures). There is light ring wear on the back of the jacket. There are several air bubbles under the gloss along the spine on the back of the jacket. The interior of the gatefold is extremely clean. The coloring on the entire jacket is still bright, and the front and back jacket retains a nice gloss. Don't miss out of this rare gem!
