John Coltrane - Meditations (HMV 1966, UK, mono)
Jazz legend John Coltrane is in free-flowing mode on this 1966 UK 1st mono pressing of Meditations. 
He's backed by an impressive line-up of McCoy Tyner (piano), Pharoah Sanders (tenor sax), Jimmy Garrison (bass), Elvins Jones (drums) and Rashied Ali (drums). This is a more than solid copy with plenty of listening pleasure to be had. 
The front laminated flipback sleeve is VG++ to Excellent to the front, with minimal wear and a nice firm readable spine. However, it's more like Good+ / Very Good to the rear, due to general wear and some writing in the top right corner. 
The vinyl plays through well and the music comes over powerfully - there are no skips or sticks that I detected and very little surface noise. One or two very minor hairlines and marks - the vinyl is bright and glossy. I'd grade it conservatively at VG+ or better. 
The black and red HMV labels are in fine shape with minimal spindle wear, and the white paper lined inner sleeve from the era is also in fine condition.
