John Butler Trio - April Uprising - VINYL - LIMITED EDITION
Collectors, here's some info you may not know. When the April Uprising CD was originally released, the French record label that had the distribution rights for France produced a vinyl edition of April Uprising. This can confuse collectors as there are some cheap vinyls of April Uprising out there but the key difference and the entire point of vinyl collecting is in the quality of the record. What the French label did was simply enlarge the CD artwork and press the vinyl from the 16-bit CD master, it's not a quality reproduction. This record is produced in Australia by JBT's label Jarrah Records in the same series as the limited edition Grand National and Sunrise Over Sea. The artwork was completely remade from scratch for this record and the audio master was remastered to 24-bit from the studio recordings. It also includes the bonus tracks on side D.
This record up for auction is numbered 108 of 1,000.
You will notice the yellow sticker on the back cover, that indicates it's a CLEAR VINYL. The first 150 records were pressed in clear vinyl with the remaining 850 pressed in white vinyl adding another layer to the rarity. The sticker is on the shrinkwrap, not the album, it was to help the manufacturers sort the clear vinyl from the white vinyl when boxed at the Vinyl Factory in Sydney where they were pressed.
