It's finally time for me to part with my vinyl Hendrix collection - I have built this up over a number of years but don't listen to it as much as I should do and as I want to add to other parts of my collection it is best I shift some stuff to enable me to do this in these times of austerity! Check my other Hendrix listings as I have 3 of late 90's Experience Hendrix 180 gram triple LPs, a nice copy of Band of Gypsys with "puppet" cover as well as nice copy of the holy grail - Axis: Bold As Love Track original with insert!
This is a fantastic copy of Axis Bold as Love by the Jimi Hendrix Experience - this is the Stereo original on the Track Label catalogue number 613 003. The sleeve grades as Good because there are some tears on the back cover that have been repaired - both are pictured, one is in the middle of the opening where there is a bit of wear, the other is about a half inch up from the bottom seam but it is not that noticeable. The spine is quite solid with some minor lamination wear and the top and bottom corners have some rubbing - overall the front and back lamination is superb with no signs of the lamination lifting. The inside of the gatefold is in excellent condition and the flipbacks are all in place. The insert grades as Very Good there are no rips, tears, pin holes, blu-tack or tape marks - there are a few creases but nothing serious. The vinyl is where this record excels as it grades as Excellent in both visual and audio departments. There are no scratches or marks, there is the odd faint paper mark but nothing at all that reveals itself during playback - the labels are also excellent with hardly any signs of the record being played although I have played it a couple of times whilst it has been in my possession. The run out has the first pressing stampers of A ? 1 and B ? 1.
