For sale is a very rare pressing of This was by Jethro Tull
Very rare original second stereo pressing on the pink "block" textured Island Record Label, this appears to be much harder to find than the other label versions.
Matrix numbers ILPS + 9085 + A & ILPS + 9085+B.
The cover - edges show no wear and are crisp and clean. only very minimal rubbing to the corners very insignificant wear. The spine is very wide and is intact with very little wear. A very miniscule rub can be seen but only a tiny scuff which does no damage. text fully readable. Front and back both very clean and presentable with the laminate still intact and gives off a glossy finish. Inside is also clean and presentable with no damage. As pictures show there is a minor creasing bending to the back half of the gatefold. Pictures show the very light wear but this has no effect on the appearance. It still sits flat and is in fantastic condition for its age
labels - both labels are clean crisp and presentable. No damage only very light minimal spindle wear. fantastic labels
Vinyl - both sides are clean and presentable. Both sides under light do show some surface marks but all are superficial. The record has been tested on 2 different record players and played very well on both. No skips, pops or jumps, this record plays extremely well all the way through. Some light background noise here and there but a good clean will definitely improve this. This is a great sound coming from this very rare record
overall this is a fantastic copy of a very rare island record
