Description

Very, very nice copy of the original 1st label (pink label with black and orange "circle" logo) of Jethro Tull's second album released by Island Records in 1969 (ILPS 9103) with its original pop-up, gatefold sleeve.

Track listing side 1 : (1) A New Day Yesterday. (2) Jeffrey Goes to Leicester Square. (3) Bouree. (4) Back to the Family. (5) Look into the Sun.

Track listing side 2 : (1) Nothing is Easy. (2) Fat Man. (3) We Used to Know. (4) Reasons for Waiting. (5) For a Thousand Mothers.

Condition is near mint. The sleeve is just about flawless with no sticker marks, no tears, creases or seam splits. There is no writing anywhere on the sleeve and very minimal shelf wear - just a little wear at the corners. The spine is pure white and absolutely pristine and uncreased (rare for a gatefold) and looks perfect on the shelf. The pop up inside the gatefold is as good as the day it was made - uncreased and absolutely intact - you will never find a better example.

The playing surfaces are also in very good condition. Both sides have a few very minor abrasions but there are no scratches and nothing which causes any problems on playback. The record plays with minimal surface noise (hardly any) and no big ticks, clicks or pops and there are no skips or jumps.
