Description
Original UK Epic label stereo 1st press LP.The James Gang fifth studio LP, recorded in 1972 with Domenic Troiano after Joe Walsh quit the band in December 1971, featuring a funkier sound than previous albums. This is the original issue and a factory sample, with the earliest A-1 B-1 matrices and 1-A 1-O stampers of the very first presses! The Garrod & Lofthouse matt textured sleeve is intact & in EX condition, with some light corner/edge wear and a little rubbing on the front cover. The spine is intact and fully readable, the inner sleeve is intact and in EX condition. The record is in visually EX+ condition, with only a couple of faint sleeve removal hairlines visible on each side. The labels are in EX+ condition, clean & bright, with a 'Factory Sample' label and evidence of one or two very faint spindle markings on each side. The sound reproduction is EX+, clear & precise with definately no skips, sticks or jumps, but there is some brief, low background noise during the run in grooves, overall a really great, loud & lively listen. The matrix nos. are; SPG-1065, A-1 stamper 1-A, B-1 stamper 1-O. This is one of the earliest copies of the 1st pressing of the original 1973 UK stereo issue of this album!
