Insanely rare original 1964 US press, NOT A REISSUE! Only a handful of original copies have ever surfaced. Look at the pictures, see matrix numbers this is 100% authentic 1964 press, a true hard bop private press grail.
CONDITION: I am liberally grading this at a higher VG condition both vinyl and cover. Some people would stretch condition to VG+, not me.
There are surface marks and several light hairless on both sides. Vinyl is still really shiny.
Cover surprisingly has no splitting. Cover has shelf wear. Cover has had no glueing or restoration. Labels are in great condition no spindle marks.
Record has been cleaned several times before photos.
Play tested all the way through at high volume. The fidelity is actually pretty amazing, it plays loud, you can actually hear the reed squeak on his saxophone. The music plays clearly. This is a deep groove quality old school mono pressing much like an early Blue Note pressing. Music is loud and clear.
No skips! Moderate light surface noise at start of both sides and in between songs. Some audible light pops from the hairlines. As a fellow record collector I don’t find the sound offensive, the light noise is not too noticeable on the loud parts of the songs, surface noise is only real noticeable on the quite into piano parts and in between songs. I would be ok with owning a super rare record like this in this condition.

HEY! This plays with consistent moderate surface noise. There are a couple places where you hear audible pops constantly several rotations. PLAYS VG-!! NOT PERFECT BUT ONE OF A FEW ORIGINALS TO EVER COME UP FOR SALE. DONT BUY THINKING IT IS BETTER THAN MY DESCRIPTION. AS IS.
