John Polce -- Your Love Is Changing The World LP

Original 1978 US stereo private pressing on Brotherly Love Productions (Newport RI) (catalog # BLP 1004).

Here's an outstanding and obscure private Xian LP of solo acoustic-guitar folk from John Polce, from Rhode Island. His second LP. Some might call it "Downer folk" but it's more just spiritually solemn and plaintive.

Polce's first LP from 1976 was only unearthed in the last few years and received a stellar review in Acid Archives, where Patrick The Lama called it "one of the Top 5 best albums I've run across in 2009" and compared it to Bob Desper and Dave Bixby.

In reviewing this LP (Your Love Is Changing The World), Ken Scott - Archivist praised the "solemn meditative presence throughout this whole work" and the freeform style of tracks like "the beautifully delicate 9-minute 'Silver Nor Gold'."

CONDITION: Cover VG++ / Vinyl NM   excellent shape, cover just has a little browning near spine; vinyl is near pristine.
