John Lennon / Plastic Ono Band - 'Give peace A Chance / Remember Love'. APPLE 13
John Lennon / Plastic Ono Band 1969 Irish AND UK LABEL ERROR pressing of the 'Give peace A Chance / Remember Love' 7" single. Released on the 4th July 1969, it is offered here in WONDERFUL EXCELLENT/VERY GOOD+ condition.
This copy of John's debut single may well be a unique one off or at the very least is incredibly rare and unusual. It is undocumented in any Beatles/Apple or Record Collector reference books I have seen.
The a-side label features what I am sure is an Irish printed label with 'Made in Rep of....' visible the rest is covered by a sticker. The b-side label features a UK printed label with 'Mfd in UK' visible. I am not sure under what circumstances this error could have occurred but another unusual feature is that both labels have a textured appearance unlike the standard UK issue.
The Matrix numbers are:
Side 1. APPLE 13 A-1 3 KT
Side 2. APPLE 13 B-1 3 (plus a crossed out digit) KT
The vinyl is in EXCELLENT condition on side one and VERY GOOD+ condition on side two.
Both labels are in EXCELLENT condition. BUT the a-side has a large sticker (could be removed).
The sleeve is in VERY GOOD++ condition.
