GRADING - All of my records are carefully visually graded under bright light and fully play graded before auction.
The Record is visually graded Excellent
The Record Labels are graded Excellent
The Cover is graded Excellent/Excellent Plus
The sound quality is perfect (see sound quality section below)
Record
The record has a beautiful glossy appearance lays 100% flat on the turntable and has no warping. Looking carefully under bright light I could only make out a very small number of light thin hair-lines present and absolutely no stylus scratches, scuffs or any other marks. It is a pleasure to be able to offer Rubber soul in this strong condition and I have graded the record visually Excellent to Excellent Plus
Labels
The yellow and black parlophone labels are in lovely condition. The spindle hole shows some light spindle trail lines as evidence of playing when viewed in bright light (I would estimate around ten plays). The silver and yellow label text is bright and shows no marks or blemishes. The labels are graded Excellent
Cover
The Garrod and Lofthouse patents pending cover is in fine condition with little to fault. The laminated front still has a beautiful sheen and gloss present and has no ring-wear. There are just a couple of laminate wrinkles near to the spine edge and a two small and light cover wrinkles to mention. The un-laminated back cover is in equally strong condition with no creases or ring-wear. The three flip-back edges show some very light edge marking where the flips meet the cover. The top bottom and record entry edges are straight and unworn! Equally the spine which has the tapered top and bottom points is absolutely perfect and has no wear whatsoever. The four corners are sharp with no rounding except maybe the tiniest ruffle to the top spine corner if being really fussy. Overall a beautiful well cared for cover which I`m happy to grade Excellent bordering on Excellent Plus
Inner Sleeve
The record comes with the regular correct EMI “Emitex inner sleeve which is in excellent condition with no tears or seam splits
Sound Quality
The sound quality of the entire album is perfect. There is not a hint of distortion throughout and no hiss or crackle. The run in and between track grooves are silent and the acid test track for audio quality “Michelle” plays perfectly! An absolute delight to listen to and I could not recommend it highly enough.
Please see scans of cover and labels below
TERMS AND CONDITIONS – PLEASE READ CAREFULLY
All of my listed records are carefully visually inspected under bright light and play graded before auction to avoid any disappointment to buyers, so bid with confidence.
The grading system I use is from Record Collector: - Mint, Excellent, Very Good with +/- to distinguish borderline grades (see below)
Mint. This is in brand new un-played condition.
Excellent. Some signs of being played, but very little lessening of sound quality. There can be minor cover wear and/or creasing.
Very Good. The record has visual evidence of many plays including noticeable surface marks and light scratches. There should be no major deterioration of sound quality however. The cover can have light/moderate wear but no major defects.
A full no quibble refund for the cost of the record will be offered if you are not satisfied for ANY reason.
I treat all vinyl with the greatest respect whether £5 or £50, so all records are sent out with plastic covers in professional mailers and two protective cardboard stiffeners. I always separate records from their covers and original inner sleeves for posting to prevent seam splits occurring during shipping.
It is the buyer’s responsibility to take out any insurance cover required. I would advise insurance to be taken out on any item sale greater than £30.00 as protection against loss or damage during shipping. Without this additional insurance the full value of items above £30.00 that are lost or damaged will NOT be able to be recovered.
Following the close of the auction I will send an invoice within twenty four hours. All winning bidders must make contact within three days of the end of the auction or I reserve the right to withdraw the item or select the second chance option and offer the item to another bidder.
Please do not bid if you have significant negative feedback unless checking first please.
