Here for sale is a visually STUNNING copy of the jimi hendrix lp AXIS: BOLD AS LOVE on the TRACK stereo label 613 003.This is an original 1967 uk issue..sadly missing the orange lyric insert but still rare.
The dead wax info is as follows
Side 1: 613003 A V 1
Side 2: 613003 B V 1
COVER
The original first press Ernest j day laminated gatefold cover is very nice,this cover has the mono and stereo numbers as the same cover was used for both the mono and stereo issue.It is in Excellent condition...if not better!!!.The laminated front and back has no bad laminate damage or crinkling and there are no writing or stickers or bad damage anywhere on the cover.The corner tips have a little rubbing and the spine has a tiny bit of damage (these can be seen in the photos)
The inside which has the flipbacks and pictures of the lads is very clean with just a few creases on the flipbacks.Altogether a really nice cover
LABELS
The black/silver track stereo labels are nice.There is no spindle damage just some small "spider" marks around the hole.The side 1 label has a tiny bit of wear,this could be a pressing plant fault
RECORD
The record which lies flat on the turntable with no warping and is visually very clean with no groove wear..full gloss and shine.In normal light it looks near mint- but under strong light you can see some faint marks,visually grades Excellent.
The audio playback is powerful..jimi at his very best!!!.Most of the tracks play really well with no loud crackles,on some of the tracks there are a few low level clicks and a little light crackle mostly between tracks (normal for original 60`s records).None of these affect playback
Altogether a very nice and clean example of a rare hendrix original 1967 lp
