The little elves of Music On Vinyl have managed it in time for Christmas; they have pressed 1.500 10" black vinyl copies of the exclusive and obscure Jimi Hendrix recording Merry Christmas And Happy New Year.

This limited numbered EP contains three tracks.

The medley "Little Drummer Boy / Silent Night / Auld Lang Syne" is recorded in 1969 as Jimi and his Band Of Gypsys (Billy Cox and Buddy Miles) were rehearsing for their appearances at the Fillmore East in New York in 1969. Knowing that this was going to be a special occasion, Jimi readied and recorded this medley of holiday favorites to celebrate both Christmas and the dawning of a new decade.

On the flip side of this 180 gram audiophile vinyl is an extended version of this recording.

The second track on Side 1 is "Three Little Bears", which was recorded with The Experience in 1968 during sessions for Electric Ladyland. It was originally released on the posthumous compilation War Heroes.

Music On Vinyl ha preparado para estas navidades una edición  en vinilo de 10" (1500 copias) de la oscura grabación de Hendrix  "Merry Christmas And happy New Year". El EP contiene tres temas. El popurrí "Little Drummer Boy / Silent Night / Auld Lang Syne" lo grabó Hendrix y  Band Of Gypsys (Billy Cox y Buddy Miles) mientras la banda ensayaba para sus actuaciones en el Fillmore East de New York en 1969. 

En la otra cara de este vinilo aparece una versión extendida de este popurrí.

El segundo tema de la Cara A es  "Three Little Bears", que fue grabado por Hendrix y la Experience en 1968 durante las sesiones de grabación del álbum Electric Ladyland. originalmente fue publicado en la recopilación póstuma  War Heroes.
