JIMI HENDRIX Electric Ladyland original BLUE text 1st TRACK UK LP 613 008/9 RARE
This is the original first pressing of the mega rare Jimi Hendrix Experience ELECTRIC LADYLAND album with the mega rare BLUE song titles inside gatefold sleeve. If you look closely you can see an alternate track listing printed in white below, with a different track order!! Could this be a rare one off??
On the original black and silver TRACK label. Mega rare record! This is fabulous album and very rare with upside down matrix numbers on the labels and crossed out and corrected matrix numbers. These early pressings are mastered differently to later track records pressings, this was to give the effect of '3d sound' as Hendrix intected the album to be, but due to many returns early on due to the cheap dansettes not being able to play the records without skipping, the album was remastered with a safer, flatter sounding mix. This version of the album for sale here is the way Jimi Hendrix intended the album to sound.
The original laminated gatefold sleeve has wear around the edges and some creases from age - otherwise in nice condition for this sleeve, glossy and clean. The spine has no laminate, but the spine has not been worn away. No writing, stickers or tears, very little ring wear at all. Very nice with the ghost of alternate track list beneath the blue tracklist. The sleeve is in VERY GOOD PLUS condition.
The records is on the original black and silver TRACK label - the labels are in EXCELLENT condition with no writing or tears = superb. The vinyl has been played but displays no marks, nothing serious or deep and nothing causing problems with playback, hardly any noise. Jet black surfaces! The records play well with no skips or sticks... It's a great rare album. The records are in EXCELLENT PLUS condition.
