Im thrilled to offer for sale this STUNNING example of Electric Ladyland by the legendary Jimi Hendrix! UK 1968 🩶white Ghost Text🩶 1st pressing in EX+ condition!!
WOW WOW WOW, STUNNING - THE BEST IVE EVER COME ACROSS!!!
VERY EARLY A//1, A🔽2, B//2 B🔽2 matrixes, with the usual partially corected matrix lines, as present on all 1st pressings.
Has the controversial album cover featuring naked women that was quickly banned. Even more rare as this item has the sought after black and white "Track Record" label not the later orange Polydor one!
Background...
Electric Ladyland is the third and final studio album by the Jimi Hendrix Experience and the final studio album released before Hendrix's death in 1970. A double album, it was the only record from the Experience produced by Hendrix. The band's most commercially successful release and its only number one album, it was released by Reprise Records in the United States on October 16, 1968, and by Track Records in the UK nine days later. By mid-November, it had reached number one on the U.S. charts, spending two weeks there. In the UK it peaked at number six, where it spent 12 weeks on the chart.
Both vinyl discs are absolutely stunning! They have retained a beautiful glossy in appearance sit flat to the surface. The labels and spindle holes are fabulous. There are literally some incredibly light sleeve removal wisps and a couple of light insignificant surface lines that I had to hunt for. It really is the best i have ever come across!! Spindle trails can be seen at an angle.
The outer gatefold cover has the rare and much sought after WHITE GHOST TEXT. It is beautiful and glossy with no splits of tears. Minor age wear/film crinkles, has some rippling to the back edge. The only real wear is to the top and bottom corners of the spine but otherwise its fabulous! Overall, it's one of the best I have come across.
