Description
Rock and roll has a long history of controversial album covers. This may be the one of the RAREST of them all!
Here is an original UK Track 1st pressing of the Jimi Hendrix Experience’s double album masterpiece, “Electric Ladyland”.
More specifically, this is the insanely rare 1968 BLUE TEXT sleeve with the larger photographs!
Hendrix expressed initial displeasure and surprise with this "naked lady" cover but later told Rolling Stone Magazine that he "dug it anyway".
This is very first press A//1 B//1 with the hand corrected defect matrix!
The quality of these Hendrix Track originals are legendary!
The laminated gatefold album cover is in VG+ condition, with some minor ringwear and wear at its corners, edges, and spine. This is the best copy of the original Blue Text cover I have ever had.
The discs are both visually VG. Play is closer to VG+ as the quality of these Track originals shine through. There are hairlines, scuffing, and a few light scratches.
