Apart from "Bungle in the Jungle", musically, I love everything about the album. Vitriolic lyrics, a challenging approach to the music in that rather being safe with flute and polite lyrics Ian spits out lyrics, the sax substitutes.. tracks such as "Queen and Country" indicating his distaste of certain aspects of culture and attitudes to war and his hatred of high marginal taxes! I've read some incredible reviews of this album over the years from music critics who miss the point , even those who praise aspects of the album. For instance I've seen a critic describe "Skating Away" as being beautiful. They clearly didn't listen to the lyrics being quite cynical and irony of the music being so light.. which is a theme of the album directly addressed in other parts of the album eg :- "Warchild" where there is tea being drank in a climate of light posh conversation while the bombs go off! The noteable thing is anger, from the obvious "Only Solitaire" blast at the critics, this album has a depth , albeit a dark one, that many haven't recognized just cos it's not an 1 track concept album.

Enough of analysis .. just great music "Warchild", "Sealion", "Queen and country", "Two fingers" etc etc. Very atypical Tull, lots of saxophones , orchestration and very wonderful.

A gem seriously underrated. Nowhere near Aqualung, but perhaps their second best effort. Or wait... Their third best effort after Thick as a Brick. The title track and Sealion are magnificent. Just listen to the bassline on the latter. Nice!

(a)         WE GRADE SIDE 1 OF THE VINYL  AS  NEAR MINT. The original luster is very much intact, and the vinyl shines and sparkles almost like new.

(b)         WE GRADE SIDE 1 OF THE VINYL  AS STRONG VG++, JUST A NOTCH BELOW NEAR MINT. A few light abrasions on this side ARE VISIBLE, but they appear fairly  insignificant relative to the overall condition of the vinyl, and are only moderately visually distracting. For most part, the vinyl looks impeccable, without any MAJOR visual flaws or imperfections. Much of the original luster is intact, and the vinyl shines and sparkles almost like new.

(c)         The record comes in its original, custom, inner sleeve, which is UNIQUE to this album.

(d)         The record is pressed on a RELATIVELY  thick, inflexible vinyl. This is NOT a thin, flimsy ('dynaflex' type),  vinyl, but not the thickest, most rigid vinyl, either.

(e)         Of course, this is a full-bodied ANALOG recording, and not an inferior, digital recording!!!

COVER IS NEAR MINT,  STILL IN ITS ORIGINAL ►SHRINK WRAP

The following flaws or imperfections are noted on the cover:

-       Cover has a small cutout saw-mark (an indent about 3-5 mm long ) on one of its seams.

-       Cover has a visible "wrinkle"(crease)  in one of the corners.  (VISIBLE ON FRONT SIDE ONLY)

-       Minor shelf wear noted on the top seam and the opening side.
