Description
Here's an extremely rare 180 gram vinyl test pressing of an unissued mono remaster of Beatles for Sale, pressed in November 13, 2012 at the defunct Rainbo pressing plant in LA. The pressing date is listed on the label and corresponds to the Rainbo matrix numbers (S-77245/6), according to the plant's pressing schedule. Evidently, this was made for Capitol's Beatles In Mono series, but was shelved for over two years, when a subsequent pressing was released with different matrix etchings in 2014. The record is excellent, very close to M- with a couple of very light surface marks visible under bright light that do not affect play. Matrix etchings are as follows:
Side 1: S-77245 RE-1 E
Side 2: S-77246 RE-1 A i...i
