FIRST PRESSING 1966 MONO LP RECORD/STILL in the ORIGINAL SHRINK WRAP/DEEP GROOVE PRESSING/With the Original Inner Sleeve! This is the SCARCE VERSION TWO of this legendary SIXTIES PSYCHEDELIC MASTERPIECE! The idiotic censors at RCA Victor records have already, by this time, removed the offensive song "Runnin' Round This World"! But, they had yet to notice the naughty lyrics in TWO SONGS. The suspect verses are "Don't Tell Me You Want Money" in "LET ME IN" and "That Sway As You Lay Under Me" in "RUN AROUND"! The uptight label executives heard a reference to prostitution in the former and an outright expression of having sex in the latter! Oh, My God! In a matter of a few weeks the AIRPLANE would trudge back into the studio to re-record these verses and re-release the album before America completely fell apart at the seams. [Boy, was 1966 really that long ago?] To any REAL FAN and COLLECTOR of JEFFERSON AIRPLANE this is an ABSOLUTE ESSENTIAL MUST HAVE RECORD. And, this one is in INCREDIBLE FANTASTIC condition. Still in the shrink, the front cover is PERFECT. The back cover has a tiny initial ["D.D."] on it and a slight discoloration from ageing that runs along the edge of the opening in the hairline that is not covered by the shrink wrap. That's all! The vinyl has some noticeable very light wear and PLAYS FANTASTIC! The labels show some light wear. PERFECT for TRUE FANS! SURE TO PLEASE! May have a few tiny signs of wear on the cover and/or a few slight paper scuffs on the vinyl. Plays perfectly. EXCELLENT or STRONG VG++: light use is evident. The beginnings of ring wear will be evident on the cover and some surface scuffs will appear on the vinyl, BUT record will play with no background noise. VG++: use is evident but not bad. Cover has ring wear and vinyl has noticeable surface wear. Should play with NO surface noise during the music. VG+: average used record, looks OK, plays OK. No surface noise is noticeable during the music. Some surface noise is possible during quiet passages. VG: Cover shows more than normal wear and vinyl shows more than normal wear.
