"JAZZ AT THE PAWNSHOP" 2-LP Prophone / Proprius PROP 7778 / 7779
This is the extremely rare and highly collectible original 1977 release out of Sweden.
"MADE IN SWEDEN" callout appears in lower right hand corner of jacket back.
Liner notes are printed in Swedish.
I've seen NM copies of this gem sell in the recent past for more than $400 !!!
This 2-LP audiophile release captures live performances at the legendary Stampen Bar in Stockholm over the course of two nights, December 14 and 15 of 1976.
Band leader Arne Domnerus (saxophone, clarinet) and Bengt Hallberg (piano) are joined by Lars Erstrant (vibraphone), Georg Riedel (bass) and Egil Johansen (drums).
Stunning sound quality on this brilliantly recorded album.
