This is the UK 1st Press of ‘James Taylor’ by James Taylor. The earliest press is complete with the SAPCOR 3 A-1/ B-1 matrix, the early 1O / 1A Mothers and Stampers and the original dark Apple labels. The vinyl is complete with the original laminated flipback gatefold sleeve.
The record is in Excellent condition. The vinyl has a sensational bright gloss, with very little sign of play at all. There are just a few insignificant very light hairlines marks. On playing the sound is warm, rich and clear. There are moments of a little slight background noise but these are insignificant. It sounds Excellent. The label is completely clean with bright colours and sharp text. There is very light spindle wear.
The laminated gatefold sleeve is in rare Excellent condition. This sleeve is so often worn and creased but we are pleased to say that this is a rare superb example. Very solid and bright. The laminate is still stunning and the image is sharp. The inner opening edge is solid and the inside is bold and bright. 779 (GS 7.0.4 (779))
