Description

The Beatles    "Introducing The Beatles"

This is a US vinyl pressing on VEE-JAY Records VJLP 1062 from 1964.      It is the Mono pressing with the version one songs.      The labels are black with colorband and VJ in oval.

This is an original Mono pressing with the version one tracks : "Love Me Do" and "P.S. I Love You".    The back cover lists these songs, the labels list these songs, and the record plays these songs.    So, it is not a counterfeit.

The front cover has George's shadow on the right side.    The left spine has printing, which is wrapped around onto the back cover.    The back cover has the correct song titles listed in two columns.   The song title "A Taste Of Honey" has no breakdowns in printing.   The inside cover has 1/4 inch inside flaps at top and bottom.

The record labels have "Introducing The Beatles" and "The Beatles" printed above the spindle hole.   The colorband around the labels have all the correct colors.   The distance from the last song to the label is exactly 3/4 inch.

The matrix runouts are etched : Side 1 : 63-3402  (MR) stamped in a circle  Δ-5702 and Side 2 : audio matrix (is stamped) 63-3403  (MR) stamped in a circle Δ-5702-X.        It is a Monarch pressing.

In the Perry Cox and Frank Daniels Beatles Price Guide this is : VJ 1062 (1) MR1-B.

The songs are : I Saw Her Standing There, Misery, Anna, Chains, Boys, Love Me Do, P.S. I Love You, Baby It's You, Do You Want To Know A Secret?, A Taste Of Honey, There's A Place, and Twist And Shout.

Overall Condition is : Cover is VG /  Record is VG-

The cover is VG with no writing, no tears, and no seam splits.         There is light overall wear and a little seam wear.       There are tiny stains on the back cover below the album title.       The vinyl looks VG- and it plays VG-, with many light handling and playing marks.  There are 2 light scratches on side 1 songs 3&4 and on side 2 songs 4,5,&6.     I hear 'ticks' on side 1 song 1 and 'ticks' on side 2 song 4.     There are no skips.     The labels are clean with many spindle marks.       The record comes in a plain white inner sleeve.
