Please read the following before bidding:

All the records are in near mint condition. I am the original owner since collecting the set in 1990 - no-one else has touched it. The box itself has some shelf-wear but is intact. The front picture has no damage. There is a small crease in the top left of the box front, from shelf-wear, and the corners are slightly worn, with a few little nicks on the sides and back - you can barely see them in the main photo. The box comes with an open flap on one side so you can access the records more easily. The records have been very rarely played. I recorded them onto cassette when I got them and didn't touch the vinyl for years. They have been handled with care - no nasty scratches or greasy fingerprints. And always played on a decent turntable (a Project Debut) and a regularly replaced stylus. I am a confessed music vinyl geek and do not like to buy records which are not described as they are. I have 100% positive feedback and want it to remain that way. I am selling this set because I simply don't have the space anymore - hopefully it will find a good, loving home.

These records all look and sound brilliant. The artwork - nearly all done by the great Derek Riggs - is a real treat to look at and enjoy. See Eddie The Head (d)evolve! The vinyl is deep black and shiny. The gatefold covers are all mint, with all original 'First Ten Years' stickers intact. Interestingly, all the box set 12" are 33rpm, not your more regular 45rpm. The 2 bonus discs are standard 45rpm 12".

The reknowned EMI vinyl mastering really makes these tracks sound fantastic. Forget about any MP3 version you may have - this is how they are meant to be heard! I reckon that the sound quality is better than the albums because the vinyl grooves are further apart (closer grooves means lower definition and volume). Play them loud! And there are so many rare jewels to enjoy. Some of these rarities surpass album tracks by miles. My personal faves are I've Got the Fire, Purgatory, Total Eclipse, King of Twilight, Mission from 'Arry, Massacre, Killers (live '88) and Communication Breakdown. The Listen With Nicko! tracks are also good fun for some personal anecdotes about Iron Maiden and their releases.

Both have complete picture sleeves and come with rare collectable posters - see pix for details. Like all the covers and vinyls in this offer, these records are mint. The covers have some minor shelf-wear on the edges. The big 1990 UK & Ireland tour poster is in excellent condition, with no holes, rips or creases. I had it once on my wall in college but made sure that it wasn't marked or damaged. It's been stored in the 12" sleeve, as-new, since then. The 1991 banner calendar has never been stuck to a wall, used or otherwise abused.

Returns: I have described this item as clearly and plainly as possible. Considering that this item is very heavy, it doesn't really make financial sense to return it by post.
