INSANELY RARE original ELYSIAN SPRING s/t PRIVATE PRESS jazz LP on Despa 1969

What I’m offering is a copy of the INSANELY RARE, PRIVATE PRESS, self-titled jazz LP by Elysian Spring, issued on Despa 349 in 1969. This is an ORIGINAL pressing and NOT a reissue of any kind.

The grading on the LP is VG cover, VG+ record side one, VG record side two.

The cover has top and bottom seam wear, including a ¼ inch bottom seam split at the mouth, light cover wear on the back, and light to moderate ring wear on the front, most noticeably at the bottom (see scans). Due to poor storage from the previous owner, there is a slight circular record impression visible on the front cover. This record may have been stored in a damp basement at one time as there is a slight hint on mustiness to the cover. It is only noticeable if you smell the inside of the cover and even then it is very, very slight. It’s probably a non-issue for most people but I want to note it.

Side one of the record has a couple of small, light surface scratches that are totally inaudible and does not affect its play. Side one does play back with slight background noise, which can not be attributed to any scratch or mark on the vinyl.

Side two of the record has three surface marks/ scuffs, two of which are lengthy, and all of which are totally inaudible and does not affect its play. Side two does have a couple of light scratches. The first scratch is on song one that noticeably clicks for approximately one minute. The other scratch is during song four that lightly clicks and pops periodically and is noticeable mainly upon very close listen. Side two has very little background noise.

I can’t stress enough on how RARE this record is. I live here in Western Massachusetts, where this private press was issued, and this is the 1st copy that I have ever found in 40+ years of collecting records and selling records. It is that RARE.
