Original '51 USA MONO vinyl FLAT EDGE pressing with the classic Blue & White labels and the 767 LEXINGTON AVE NYC address on both labels. DEEP GROOVE labels on both sides. "EAR" etched in the trail-off. Heavy vinyl, thick cardboard "frame" cover. The personnel: Ike Quebec, Ben Webster, John Hardee/tenor sax; Buck Clayton, Jonah Jones/trumpet; Benny Morton, Tyree Glenn, "Keg" Johnson/trombone; William Bivens/virbaphone; Edmond Hall, Barney Bigard/clarinet; Sammy Benskin, Ram Ramirez/piano; Meade "Lux" Lewis/celeste; Charlie Christian, Tiny Grimes, Jimmy Shirley/guitar; Gracham Moncur, Oscar Pettiford, Milton Hinton, Israel Crosby, Gene Ramey/bass; J.C. Heard, Eddie Dougherty, Sidney Catlett/drums. The vinyl has very high sheen, light wear, plays with low to medium level surface noise. Instruments are reproduced rich and clear, however, with no distortion, no warps, no skips. The thick cover is bright & clean, displays nicely. Small portion of top right edge and most of bottom edge clear taped. No writing, no cut-out markings, and the front cover graphics are particularly striking. Address on back cover is 767 Lexington Ave., New York 21, N.Y.
