This is an original MONO and STEREO 45 RPM single by IGGY AND THE STOOGES from their 1973 MASTERPIECE LP RAW POWER. And it is the greatest single ever put out by anyone since time began. It was never a hit but what does that matter. Just like Vincent Van Gough who only sold one painting in all his life for a penny. The same thing here. The world just was not ready for this band. Now the rest of the world have caught up. Original exceptionally rare pieces like this are seriously highly prized by collectors the whole world over. And rightly so . IGGY is FINALLY recognized as the GENIUS That he truly is. I do not know the country of origin of this single. Maybe England or the USA. EITHER WAY it is IMPOSSIBLY RARE. Think what is the most aggressive Hit Record you can think of....Id say Anarchy in the UK by the Sex Pistols. And this three and a half minutes of scorching ferociousness makes that sound like a bunch of old merry maids. Who in their right mind thought that this was ever going to be a hit ? FOR SALE. RARE! RARE!! RARE !!! Oh ive just noticed it says Printed in Canada on the COLUMBIA sleeve. But does that mean the vinyl was made in Canada for the Canadian market ? Who knows ? Here is what we do know. An original single By the THE STOOGES from ANY country is stupidly rare. Singles by IGGY AND THE STOOGES ARE EVEN RARER !!!!!!! Because after 2 albums released on ELEKTRA records,loads of gigging and the televised Cincinnaty Rock Festival,all the drug problems. Who would now back this band by putting money into them and releasing singles ? In 39 years of collecting and 17 years on eBay I myself have NEVER seen a 45 RPM single by IGGY AND THE STOOGES other than the Jap one that goes for about £800 . So this RADIO STATION WHITE LABEL PROMO with STEREO and MONO versions of that track. THAT TRACK !!! SEARCH AND DESTROY . Has to be THE RAREST OF THE RARE !!! I WOULD BET THIS WAS SO FEROCIOUS IT WAS NEVER PLAYED
OVER THE AIRWAVES !!!! Still in its ORIGINAL cover which has a 2 inch seam split to one of its sides is in condition that is VERY GOOD. Both the labels are in VERY GOOD ++ condition some marks on the Stereo side but nothing so bad to spoil the item. Both the MONO and STEREO sides have some light hairlines but both sides play with no problems at all. This single plays SUPERBLY. I got my first copy of Raw Power in 1978 and often thought id love to hear a MONO version of the LP. I much prefer the Mono verson of THE VELVET UNDERGROUND AND NICO to the STEREO version. Well im never gonna hear a Mono version of RAW POWER but I have heard the MONO version of SEARCH AND DESTROY and I love it. The condition of this ultra rare IGGY AND THE
STOOGES WHITE LABEL RADIO STATION PROMO is in VERY GOOD ++ condition.
After the Stooges recent tours, the band FINALLY after 8 times being nominated, they have been inducted into the ROCK and ROLL HALL OF FAME. The SUPERB book TOTAL CHAOS and the MAGNIFICENT film GIMME DANGER ,TRAINSPOTTING and TRAINSPOTTING 2, IGGY POP and his band`s are FINALLY getting something like the recognition they deserve... And how rightly so ! Their profile is so high right now and it is NEVER going away. People now realize that every band that came after (and including) THE SEX PISTOLS owes one hell of a lot to THE STOOGES, IGGY AND THE STOOGES and CHIEFLY to IGGY POP ! And for those reasons the value of rare GENUINE items like this are certain to soar !!!

All my records are housed in Mobile Fidelity Mastering Sleeves. This prevents further paper scuffs marking the vinyl when removing the record from the original inner sleeve and prolongs the condition of the original inner sleeve .
