Description
This is the original deep-groove RVG-etched “P”-pressing of Horace Silver “Quintet” on the Lexington Avenue labels of Blue Note BLP 5062. The flat rim playing surface of Side 1 looks near-new, with a high luster; Side 2 has a hairline at the opening that is lightly audible for a few revolutions and a pressing defect that produces lightly audible sporadic tics for about thirty seconds. The coated frame cover has a ¾” tape stain at the bottom corners, 1” wear at the top of the spine edge on the front, and “EB” in small ink at the top right corner and center of the opening edge of the back slick. Personnel include Kenny Dorham, Hank Mobley, Doug Watkins, and Art Blakey. WE NOW ACCEPT PAYPAL.
