Up for bids is a great, rare, mono Jazz LP by the Horace Silver Trio with Sabu and Art Blakey called "Spotlight On Drums". Blue Note Records. BLP 1520. 1956.

RARE ORIGINAL 1ST PRESSING!

HEAVY, DEEP GROOVE PRESSING!

"BLUE NOTE RECORDS 767 LEXINGTON AVE NYC" ADDRESS ON BOTH LABELS!
Both sides' Trail-Off's have the "ear" and etched "RVG"!
NO "?" SYMBOL AT THE BOTTOM OF BOTH LABELS!
BACK OF COVER HAS "767 Lexington Ave., New York 21" ADDRESS AT BOTTOM-CENTER.
Record's edges are raised.
Comes with what appear to be an original plain white inner sleeve in VG+ condition (record will be shipped in separate polylined sleeve outside of cover).

NOTE:

The grades I use are Mint (rarely used grade), Near Mint, VG+++ (rarely used grade), VG++, VG+, VG, VG Minus, Good+, Good, Fair and Poor.

Cover is in a STRONG VG+ condition. Front looks really nice with some minor wear. Back of cover also has some minor wear. No splits anywhere on cover! Bottom of corner by opening has lost about 1/4" of artwork. This is a prime example of this cover!

I would rate the record’s condition as VG++ to Near Mint. Looks gorgeous with only a couple of superficial marks that do not affect play. Hardly any noise between tracks or during! Not much wear at all! Labels are both very clean! My scanner may have lightened them in the pictures a little. Record sounds so amazing on my player! GOD BLESS BLUE NOTE & VAN GELDER!
